Belgium Rocks - CULTURAL Diversity - Nightlife

Belgium is a country unlike any other. It is nestled in cultural diversity resulting from being set in between France, Germany, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. It is divided into three different geographic areas: the northern region of Flanders; the capital area of Brussels; and the southern region of Wallonia.

In Flanders, Dutch is the spoken language. In Wallonia, it is French. In Brussels, there is a mixture of both. Because of this cultural and linguistic variety, the Belgian government has evolved into a complex, yet very effective system of leadership. Belgium is the envy of most of the world in conditions of favorable statistics. It is one of the world leaders in terms of health care, housing, education, high production, and low poverty rates.

Flanders is headed by the North Sea, thereby being composed mainly of sand dunes and polders. The central plains of the Brussels region is a beautiful mix of the Flanders characteristics and those of Wallonia: rocky, lush forested areas dotted with castles -symbolizing the rich past that they have seen. All three areas pridefully combine to make up one of the Earth’s most impressive geographical masses.

Belgium is classified coastal temperate. That means that you will experience mild temperatures and generally significant precipitation. The average low temperature in January is 37 degrees Fahrenheit. The average high temperature is in July and is 64 degrees Fahrenheit. Precipitation ranges from 2.1 to 3.1 inches each month.

As a traveler of Belgium, you will have no problems finding world-class accommodations. You can elect to reserve your spot in any of the numerous Belgian hotels, B-n-Bs, farms, hostels, and yes, castles. Imagine looking out onto the majestic plains where important European history was created! It’s common in Belgium to experience such richness and heritage.

If it’s nightlife that you seek, Belgium again has you covered in style. In Brussels alone, there are over 80 pubs. That’s a good thing because Belgium has over four hundred indigenous beers to imbibe upon. The streets come alive at night, and they do not see fit to close. All night long, every night, Belgian pubs, nightclubs, casinos and restaurants are in full swing. You can drink and dance until you can no longer stand, and then crawl back to your castle!
